SABA

SABA Research Group
Our group project for EAC397 was ongoing throughout most of the Semester. We were tasked with comparing and contrasting 3 products from one category of technology through extensive research. As the Semester progressed, we were given additional assignments which culminated in a comprehensive written report and a class presentation.

Group Members: There were four of us in total. From left to right in the photo: Sadaf Noor, Ardalan Esmaeili, Myself, and Ambreen Badar. We chose the name SABA for our group for two reasons. The four letters are the first letters of each of our first names, and because the word itself translates to gentle breeze in several languages. Together, we prepared a project proposal, a progress report, and a PowerPoint presentation which we delivered to our fellow classmates.

The Proposal: We were tasked with writing a proposal to a company (our professor) which was an answer to a call for proposals. The content of the call for proposals that we chose was a company looking to consolidate physical servers into virtual machines in order to expand network capabilities while retaining real estate. The Report: The technical report was submitted on the day of our presentation. It was quite comprehensive and as a team, we learned a lot about technical writing. From using diagrams and charts to proper labeling and formatting of our documents. Click on the full screen icon on the embedded document to the right to see the full sized version.

The PowerPoint: We presented our findings to our fellow classmates. Each team member was responsible for covering one of the three virtualization solutions that we resarched, and I covered the introduction and the conclusion. Our presentation ran for about 20 minutes. Click on the full screen icon on the embedded document to the right to see the full size version. The PowerPoint has many animations to click through.
